Like me, you might find it tricky to keep up with your love for plants amidst a hectic lifestyle. But don’t worry! I’ve come across some incredible low-upkeep plants that breathe life into your space without needing constant attention.
Perforated Monstera
The perforated monstera is a striking piece that doesn’t ask for much in exchange. Its large, fenestrated leaves spark conversation in my living area.
Ground Cover Gardens
Incorporating ground cover gardens lowers the need for watering and decreases weed growth. They give my garden a tidy, polished appearance with little work.
Tree Hugger
The tree hugger is a hardy plant that tolerates my occasional forgetfulness, making it ideal for shady areas. Any space is given a tropical feel by its lush leaves.
Boulder Gardens
Boulder gardens are a striking and low-effort way to landscape. They blend beautifully with succulents and drought-tolerant plants in my design.
Muscovite Sage
With its silver foliage and purple blooms, muscovite sage is the focal point of my garden. It adds a lovely aroma and needs little upkeep.
Plantain Lily
The plantain lily offers lush foliage and requires little care, making it ideal for shaded garden areas. In my Boston garden, they are a mainstay, adding texture and color.
Stonecrop
With little water, stonecrop thrives in bright areas. Because of its vivid foliage, it’s a favorite in my outdoor planters.
Fleshy Plants
For good reason, fleshy plants have taken over Instagram; they are both fashionable and simple to maintain. Simply give them a little water and some sunshine.
Spinneret Plant
If you’re looking for a plant that thrives with minimal maintenance, the spinneret plant is the answer. Mine is happy perched by the window and produces cute little plants for sharing.
Fancy Grasses
Any garden gains movement and elegance from ornamental grasses. They are easy to maintain and ideal for producing visual appeal.
Cure-All
In addition to its therapeutic qualities, cure-all is very easy to care for. Because of its soothing gel, I keep one by my kitchen window.
Serpent Plant
The serpent plant is my top pick for any room that doesn’t get much light. These hardy plants do well even when ignored and only require the occasional watering.
Eforbia
The eforbia is a resilient plant that can endure neglect, making it perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. It’s ideal for giving garden beds structure.
Thorny
If you have a sunny area, thorny are a chic option that hardly ever needs watering. They give your house a taste of the desert.
Trailing Vine
The trailing vine is a resilient plant that drapes beautifully from shelves. Mine has survived even after I accidentally let it get too dry. After just a little bit of hydration, it came back to life.
Wrought Iron Plant
The wrought iron plant is practically indestructible, as its name suggests. This is the plant for you if you occasionally forget to care for your plants, as I do.
Good Fortune Reed
For those who like water over soil, good fortune reed is a wonderful option. Simply place it in a vase filled with water to spread positivity.
Eternity Plant
The eternity plant, known for its shiny foliage, is ideal for novice plant owners. Amazingly, it grows from the lack of care you give it, making it a household essential.
